Inside Padoca Cafe

A Brazilian Coffee Shop and Bakery on Geary Blvd

Padoca Cafe is a Brazilian coffee shop at 2884 Geary Blvd in San Francisco's Richmond District. Owners Alessandra Correia and Bruno Santos took over the space — formerly Sunstream Coffee, a neighborhood staple since 2007 — in May 2024 and rebranded it as Padoca, a Brazilian term for “little bakery.” They preserved the cafe’s community roots while sharing family recipes for fresh coffee, espresso drinks, pão de queijo, and Brazilian pastries.

Alessandra and Bruno rebrand the cafe as Padoca — a Brazilian term for “little bakery” — preserving the previous owners’ roots while introducing authentic Brazilian baked goods, açaí bowls, and pantry staples to the wider neighborhood.

Four Generations in Every Bite

Our cheese bread is still shaped by the same hands and the same recipe that started it all — Alessandra’s mother, carrying on what her great-grandmother began back home in Brazil. That’s what Padoca is really about: family at the center of everything we do, and a door that’s always open for yours.
